FC Platinum coach Lizwe Sweswe says he is confident that his team will bring back positive results today despite the pressure that comes with the match.

The platinum miners will clash with fellow title candidate Caps United at the National Sports Stadium as the curtain closes in on the Castle Larger Premier Soccer League.

The two teams will battle it out on the final match day, with FC Platinum being the current log leaders at 59 points while Caps United sits a point below after their 3-2 loss to Ngezi Platinum on Wednesday last week.

Sweswe says the match is not an easy one for the title defenders, given the narrow one point difference with their opponents who are are also former champions.

“The players know what is at stake, what matters is to show character and zeal to achieve the best results,” he said.

FC Platinum has been in back to back fixtures lately as they have had to balance between the Castle Larger PSL and CAF group stages.

Sweswe however believes that his men are on the recovery path and are ready for today’s match.

“Surely I feel for the players, signs of fatigue are there but we are trying our best to ensure that they get enough rest,” he said.

“We will use the same approach as usual, we won’t try anything new. We will play the normal game we have been playing everyday we expect a tough match but we will give it our best,” added Sweswe.
