The ZRP says efforts to extricate five miners from a mine in Chegutu are still in progress.
This follows an accident in which the five miners of Task Mine Syndicate were trapped after the collapse of a shaft they were working in on the 8th of September.
In a statement following the mine accident the Zimbabwe Republic Police urged members of the public to put their health and safety first at their workplaces.
The five were working at their 110metre deep mine when the accident occurred.
