40-year-old Noah Matembudze yesterday appeared before the Zvishavane magistrate court facing charges of rape as defined in section 65 of the criminal law Codification and Reform Act chapter 9:23.
It is the state’s case that sometime between December 2019 and January 2020, at Tshuma Village under chief Mafala in Zvishavane, the accused called his 5-year-old daughter, the complainant into his bedroom and ordered her to sleep on her back on a rag.
He then removed his trouser after removing the complainant’s skirt and underwear, got on top of her and went on to rape her once.
The accused will appear in court again on the 29th of January 2020.
