A Masvingo couple’s failure to amicably resolve their domestic dispute has ended tragically with the wife poisoning both herself and the couple’s 14-month-old baby.
Speaking to Great Dyke News24, Zimbabwe Republic Police spokesperson for Masvingo Inspector Charity Mazula gave details on the death of the 27-year-old woman and her 14-month-old baby.
The ZRP has repeatedly called on couples to engage third parties when disputes arise to ensure an amicable resolution.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO) data published in 2018 suicide deaths in Zimbabwe reached 1 641 or 1,30 per cent of all total deaths in the country.
